Hallowe’en and horror films go hand in hand and with the scariest day of the year on the horizon, many people will opt to get into the spirit by watching scary movies.
Yahoo has released their list of the top 10 scariest movies of all time.
The 1973 horror classic The Exorcist topped the list, while the 2004 psychological horror Saw came in second.
However not every movie that made Torontonians skin crawl made the list.
One woman told 680News Stephen King created her phobia with the character of “Pennywise the Clown” in the book turned two-part television movie It.
“I’ve seen It, which is why I’m terrified of clowns,” she said “(he was)terrifying, so terrifying, ridiculously terrifying.”
Another woman told 680news she feels stress when she watches horror films like Halloween, which also made the top 10.
“I think it’s so stressful if you don’t know if something is going to pop out.”
Other films on Yahoo’s top 10 are Jaws, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Shining, Psycho and Friday the 13th.
