If you have a real Christmas tree, garbage collection crews in Toronto and the surrounding municipalities won’t be picking it up until next week.
In most areas, you’re told to just put out the tree on your regular collection day.
However, you are reminded to remove the tinsel, ornaments, nails and tree stands first.
The Toronto Sun reported the city of Toronto collects 100,000 Christmas trees each year.
The trees are shredded and turned into compost.
