TORONTO, Ont. – A former Toronto radio personality is being credited with pulling Charlie Sheen’s tour out of the dumpster.
Joey Vendetta has come to the rescue of the ‘violent torpedo of truth.’ The tour comes to Toronto next week.
Vendetta, who has worked for Sportsnet Radio FAN 590, told 680News they’ve stripped things down to the bare essentials and that seems to be working.
“I think that that’s really what’s important is when people sit down in their seats and Charlie Sheen’s on stage, they get the story that they came to hear,” he said.
Vendetta is the co-producer and has been moderating the show — something he said keeps Sheen from meandering.
The 45-year-old actor has also released another bizarre video on YouYube — a spoof of the now infamous interview he did with Andrea Canning for ABC’s 20/20.
At one point, he poses with cigarettes in his nostrils and both ears, and then, brings in Kevin Cronin from REO Speedwagon.
There’s also a whole music video, complete with some very gritty synchronized swimming.
