List of Family Day activities in Toronto

TORONTO, Ont. – There are plenty of things to do in the city on Family Day (Monday, Feb. 21).

Below is a list of activities offered by the City of Toronto:
- City of Toronto Family Day celebrations will take place on Monday, from noon to 4 p.m.at: Colonel Samuel Smith Park, Fort York, Mel Lastman Square and Albert Campbell Square (150 Borough Dr.): Music, dance, art and skate with Bollywood dancers on an outdoor rink. Click here for more information.

- Toronto’s Historic Sites have plenty of interactive activities planned, including crafts, scavenger hunts and more. Click here for more information.
- Skiing and Snowboarding lessons at Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre (4169 Bathurst St) and Centennial Park Ski and Snowboard Centre (256 Centennial Park Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Indoor leisure swimming at 10 locations across the city from 2 to 5 p.m. Click here for a list of locations.
Some other activities around town include:
- Toronto Zoo: Admission hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- African Adventure at the ROM: Celebrate Africa’s rich culture and heritage, with music, performances, films, drumming and a scavenger hunt through Africa. Admission hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Art Gallery of Ontario: Features the exhibition Maharaja: The Splendour of India’s Royal Courts. Admission hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Casa Loma: Admission hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last admission at 4 p.m.).
- Hockey Hall of Fame: Free admission to those 13 and under on Family Day (for up to four children with one paid adult admission).
- CN Tower: Three family members can take in the Family Day weekend Observation Experience for $35.00.
- Family Day Fest at Downsview Park: An indoor amusement park features rides geared to children between two and 12 years old.
- Toronto Kids-Fest: Held in the International Centre Hall 3, it features Canada’s largest indoor inflatable playground. Although admission is free, it costs $25 for wristbands for the inflatables. It runs throughout the entire long weekend.
- Family Day at TIFF Bell Lightbox: Family Day will be celebrated both Sunday and Monday with free kid-friendly programming, including film screenings, music and crafts. Entrance to the Tim Burton Exhibition and Retrospective is free on Family Day.
- Family Day on Toronto’s Waterfront: This year’s event includes a skating party, face painting, music and more.
- DuffleBag Theatre: Children are invited to participate as one of the story’s characters in an interactive version of Peter Pan both Saturday and Sunday.
- Family Week at the Sony Centre: Adults who purchase a full price ticket to certain Sony Centre shows on stage between March and May will receive a child’s ticket for free. However, the tickets must be purchased during Family Week, February 19-27.
- Attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the largest gathering of people dressed as garden gnomes. Click here for more information.
- National Home Show: Held at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, February 18-27.
- Canadian International Autoshow: Held at the Metro Convention Centre, February 18-27.
