Woman charged after alleged stabbing at home in London

LONDON, Ont. – Police have charged a 26 year old London, Ont., woman with assault after an alleged stabbing early this morning.

Police say a 25-year-old woman suffered knife lacerations to her head and neck around 12:30 a.m. at a home on Commissioners Road West.

They say the suspect arrived a few minutes prior to the alleged attack. Police say the incident was unprovoked, and that the two women knew each other.

Officers attending the scene found the suspect pinned to the ground by a man who was visiting the home.

Police say she was sent to hospital after the back of her head was cut while she was being subdued by the man.

The woman has been charged with one count each of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. Her name has not been released.
