One person seriously injured in crash north of Brampton

TORONTO, Ont. – Two people were injured, one seriously, after two vehicles crashed and rolled over in a rural area north of Brampton, Tuesday.

Peel police told 680News the crash occurred in the intersection of Countryside and McVean drives, near the Gore Road, just after 6 a.m.

The driver of one vehicle sustained serious injuries after being trapped for around two hours.

One of the three people in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Dense fog has been an issue. Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning of possible dense fog from Hamilton to Barrie.

Peel police’s Major Collision Bureau is still investigating what led to the crash.

This was one of two collisions, Tuesday. The collector lanes of the westbound Hwy. 401 were closed near Bayview Avenue following a truck rollover — the lanes have since reopened.
