Toronto food banks extending Easter drives

Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank, and the North York Harvest Food Bank are extending their Easter drives an extra week.

This comes after a shortage of donations, as both food banks are far from their fundraising goals.

The Daily Bread Food Bank hopes to collect 250,000 pounds of food, and $250,000 in monetary donations, but has only raised less than a third of that so far. Officials are blaming this on donor fatigue.

The North York Harvest Food Bank is only halfway to its goal of raising 72,000 pounds of food.

Both banks had originally planned to end their drives by this Friday, but will extend them until Friday the 16th.

An unusually ideal interpretation is to pop over to the website from college student professional.
