Counsellors on hand at Toronto private school after teen dies in Don River crash

TORONTO, Ont. – Counsellors will be at a Toronto private school this week as students deal with the loss of a 16-year-old boy.

AJ Blugerman died Friday when the vehicle he was a passenger in plunged into the Don River.

He attended Bayview Glen in the Don Mills Road and Hwy. 401 area.

School officials said they are “deeply saddened” by the death of the teenager known for his “outgoing nature and his contagious sense of humour.”

There were five teenagers in the car, and four managed to make it out safely. A 17-year boy was behind the wheel.

Police have yet to say whether charges will be laid.
