Canadian Tire expands holiday light recall

Canadian Tire is expanding its voluntarily recalling holiday lights as a precaution.
The recalled lights are the Holiday Collection 100 Outdoor M5 Mini LED Christmas Lights, warm white. The product code is 151-0781.
The recall is due to a defect which exposes the metal contact at the feed end of the LED lights.
This comes a day after Canadian Tire recalled its Holiday Collections 100 Outdoor M5 Mini LED Christmas Lights, Assorted Colours due to a potential safety hazard.
The affected units were sold between September and November.
Consumers are being advised to stop using the lights immediately and take them back to Canadian Tire for a full refund.
