Halton police warning of tampered Halloween candy collected in Milton

Halton Regional Police are warning the public after receiving reports of tampered Halloween candy in the Milton area.

Police say they were informed Saturday about a small razor and screw found inside two mini “Aero” and “Snickers” bars collected on Halloween night by a 10-year-old in the residential area of Derry Road and Savoline Boulevard.

Police are investigating the discovery and are strongly encouraging parents to thoroughly check their children’s candy regardless of where it was collected.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
