Toronto police say they have been conducting an exhaustive search for 26-year-old Raheem White since he was reported missing on Dec. 1. But three weeks later, he still has not been found.

White went missing three weeks ago from the Osler Street and Pelham Avenue area, close to the Junction. His work vehicle was found shortly after which had his wallet and other personal belongings in it.

Police say they have conducted multiple comprehensive searches involving the K9 unit, Marine Unit to search shorelines and the Public Safety unit which deployed a drone to search the area.

At least eight sightings of Raheem have been reported to police since he went missing, but according to police, none have been confirmed after being investigated with video canvassing.

Police say his friends and family have been interviewed 16 times and 21 witnesses have given statements.

Despite the significant resources used, White has still not been located. Police say, “We continue to search for him and will do all we can to find him and keep his family and friends updated on our efforts.”

Rose White, Raheem’s mother says she has struggled to get updates from police on Raheem’s case and has even reached out to an advocate to help her navigate the police system.

She called it very frustrating due to the mysterious nature of her son’s disappearance. “It’s very out of character. My son just walked away from school, life, and no real answers or no sightings in the city when there are so many cameras everywhere.”

Investigators have also reached out to Halton police, Peel police and the Niagara police service. Raheem reportedly frequently spent time in Georgetown where his girlfriend and her family lived. The municipality is covered by Halton police.

“My son frequented his girlfriend’s home in Georgetown. He spent Thanksgiving with her. He spent Christmas with her and there’s never been any kind of push for there to be fliers in that region,” said Rose.

She said she just wants him to come home. “I want for us to continue to search for my son to bring clarity to what’s happening or what’s happened. We miss him terribly, and we really want him back home,” pleaded Rose.

Rose says some of his friends have continued to organize searches and all avenues are being exhausted to find him.

“There are different friends and family members around the city that have started to put together searches. There have been letters sent to the MPs. There have been letters sent to the Prime Minister. There have been letters put out there to let people know that this is what’s happening,” Rose says. “And we’re not going to stop until we get some clear solid answers.”

Raheem is described as being six feet tall with an athletic build. He has brown hair in dreadlocks, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, an orange toque and a black backpack. Raheem also has a palm tree tattoo on his left bicep, and a rose on his shoulder.
