We’ve got a couple of video game adaptations entering the MUST-WATCH Top 10 this week! But if you’re not interested in gaming, one of Amazon Prime Video’s biggest shows is back! But will that take the top spot? You’ll have to keep reading to find out!
Uncharted
Where to watch: Cinemas
Starting this week off with some treasure hunting!
Uncharted is a film adaptation of a popular video game series of the same name by Naughty Dog (who also created the Last of Us series). The game and movie is about treasure hunter Nathan Drake (played here by Marvel’s Spider-Man Tom Holland). He’s approached by a seasoned treasure hunter (played by Mark Wahlberg from the Departed and Boogie Nights) and given an opportunity to find the lost treasure of the Magellan expedition. This film also stars Antonio Banderas (from the Skin I Live In), Tati Gabrielle (from the 100), and Sophia Ali (from the Wilds).

The Cuphead Show
Where to watch: Netflix
Now it’s time for another video game adaptation!

Cuphead and Mugman enjoy a good time in the Cuphead Show.
The Cuphead Show is an adaptation of an acclaimed indie game called Cuphead. The game was animated in the style of Golden Age rubber hose cartoons, and the show continues that in that tradition. This is about two talking cups who are also brothers called Cuphead and Mugman. They head to a Carn-evil to see some sights, only to discover they have to fight their way out. The series features performances from actors like Gary Anthony Williams (from Boston Legal), Wayne Brady (from Whose Line Is It Anyway?), and Grey Griffin (a voice acting legend who worked on the Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, and much, much more).

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Where to watch: Netflix
Next up, it’s time for a return to a classic horror franchise!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the ninth film in the franchise, and it’s a direct sequel to the first one which came out nearly 50 years ago. In this film, Leatherface’s home town has become a ghost town with nearly nobody around. Some young people come by hoping to buy some property, flip it, and gentrify the town. But Leatherface has no intention of letting them escape alive. Further complicating everything is a returning character from the very first film who wants revenge on the man with a chainsaw. This film features actors like Elsie Fisher (from Eighth Grade), Sarah Yarkin (from Happy Death Day 2U) and Nell Hudson (from Outlander).
