Overnight shooting in Oshawa leaves 2 dead, 3 injured: Durham police

Two males are dead and three have been injured after an overnight shooting in Oshawa.

Durham police say around 12:45 a.m., officers were called to the BLVD restaurant and bar at 1812 Simcoe Street North for reports of shots fired.

When officers arrived they found five people who were shot. One male was pronounced dead in hospital, another was pronounced dead after they were rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition, and three victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The homicide unit has taken over the investigation and police are speaking with witnesses.

There’s no suspect information at this time and no further details have been released about the male victims.
