2 arrested in Montreal in fatal Father’s Day shooting in North York

Two men in their 20s have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Toronto man last month.

Toronto police were called to the area of Caledonia Road and Lawrence Avenue West in the late afternoon on June 19. When they arrived they found 24-year-old Jaron Williams shot to death.

Williams was one of several victims that saw seven others injured in four separate shootings on a violent Father’s Day.

Police believe Williams’ death was connected to another shooting that occurred only 15 minutes earlier in the area of Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue.

Jalen Campbell Brown, 20, and Justin Harker, 20 – both from Toronto – were arrested in Montreal and both face a charge of first degree murder. They appeared virtually for a court hearing on Sunday where they were remanded into custody.
