You might want to take in any Halloween decorations you already have up as some wicked weather is on the way.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of southern Ontario, including Toronto and the GTA, calling for strong winds on Wednesday as a cold front moves in.
The national weather agency said the blustery conditions will start this afternoon with wind gusts up to 70-90 kilometres an hour.
It warns gusty winds could result in power outages and downed tree branches, as well as toss loose items around and cause injury or damage.
CityNews meteorologist Natasha Ramsahai said the strongest wind gusts in Toronto will be between 8 p.m. and midnight.

She also said the GTA could see heavy rain overnight with the risk of thunderstorms, and the rain could still be an issue for parts of the GTA on Thursday morning.

Environment Canada said “stronger wind gusts will be possible in showers or thunderstorms.”
Windy conditions are expected to end overnight but you could be waking up Thursday morning with a lot more of those autumn leaves on the ground.
Temperature-wise, it will still be relatively warm on Wednesday with a high of 19 C. However, seasonal temperatures return Thursday with a high of 14 C.
