Police release persons of interest images in triple shooting at North York sports complex

Toronto police have released four images of persons of interest in a triple shooting at a North York sports complex last week.

Officers were called to La Liga Sports Complex in the Finch Avenue West and Alness Street area after shots rang out on the evening of Oct. 9.

Three men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One was later pronounced dead. Police have since identified him as Edwin Farley Alvarado Quintero, 49, of Woodbridge.

The other two, in their 20s, were taken to hospital. One has serious, life-threatening injuries, and the other has non-life-threatening injuries.

Homicide investigators are now looking to identify four men who are persons of interest in the incident.

Four security images of the men have been released in hopes someone may recognize them.

The investigation is still ongoing.
