Woman in 60s critically hurt following Hwy. 401 crash in Etobicoke

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a crash involving a transport truck on Highway 401 in Etobicoke on Wednesday evening.
The crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Dixon Road.
Police say a car crashed into a transport truck that was stopped on the bullnose of the highway where the express and collector lanes split.
The 62-year-old driver was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
The collector lanes were closed for the investigation and cleanup. The lanes reopened around 4:30 Thursday morning.
