GTA gas prices see significant drop for 2nd straight day

Gas prices are expected to go down 5 cents at midnight.

Drivers in the GTA are waking up to more relief at the pumps on Friday morning.

The average price at most GTA stations dropped five cents at midnight to 140.9 cents/litre.

The significant price drop follows a four cent decrease on Thursday. Gas prices in southern Ontario will have fallen nine cents over two days.

The average price peaked at $2.149/litre in June and reached a yearly low on Dec. 10 when it fell to $1.339/litre.
