Canadian pop singer Céline Dion says she is cancelling all of her Courage world tour shows for this year and into 2024 due to health issues.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” she states on her website.

Dion announced in December 2022 that she has “stiff person syndrome,” which is a condition characterized by sudden severe muscle spasms.
The 55-year-old Quebec native said last year that the spasms affected her daily life, made it difficult to walk and prevented her from using her vocal cords to sing the way she’s used to.
At the time, Dion said the diagnosis forced her to postpone or cancel her 2023 European tour dates through July that were set to begin in February.
The rest of the shows were scheduled to run from August in Amsterdam through to October in Helsinki, and then continuing from March 2024 in Prague through April in London.
Dion had completed the first 52 dates of the Courage world tour in North America before but paused it in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her website states that fans who purchased tickets for the now cancelled shows will be refunded the costs via the original point of sale.
