Toronto man charged for dropping ‘softball-sized’ rocks at cars from bridge

A 62-year-old man was arrested and charged after allegedly standing from a pedestrian bridge and dropping rocks onto passing cars in East York.

Toronto police responded to separate mischief calls on August 9 and August 16 in the Massey Square and Crescent Town Road area.

It’s alleged a man would stand on a pedestrian bridge in the area. In both incidents, he waited for a vehicle to approach under the bridge and would throw a softball-sized rock at it, causing damage to the windshield.

No injuries were reported.

On Monday, police arrested 62-year-old Robert Jensen of Toronto. He’s been charged with two counts of mischief/property endangering life.

Jensen is expected to appear in court on October 3.
