Toronto police have released a frame-by-frame slideshow of security video of the suspect wanted in connection with the stabbing death of Nighisti Semret, 55, in Cabbagetown.
So far the police have released two different sets of security footage in the hopes of identifying the suspect.
They have also released photos of the clothing Semret was wearing on the day she was killed, to see if any witnesses remember seeing her walking to help determine the path she took home.
In previously released security video the suspect can be seen following Semret at a lengthy distance and then fleeing the area.
Det.-Sgt. Gary Giroux also said they hope the driver of a vehicle that the suspect passed, as seen on the video, will contact them.
On Oct. 23 around 6:30 a.m., Semret was walking home from an overnight shift at the Delta Chelsea hotel, where she worked as a cleaning supervisor.
Samret was stabbed repeatedly in a laneway near Bleecker Street and died. Police to not believe she knew her attacker.
The suspect is described as male, white, 150-180 pounds, medium build, dark eyebrows.
He was wearing a heavy, three-quarter-length dark jacket with circular buttons on the cuffs, a dark hat with a peak which possibly was leather, a light-coloured scarf around his neck, tied at the back. He wore dark pants that appear to be baggy at the knee and lower leg. His shoes were dark and worn-looking, with laces.
