Hamilton boy, 15, charged in armed SUV robbery, 3 suspects wanted

A 15-year-old boy is facing charges, and three other suspects remain wanted, following an armed vehicle robbery in Hamilton over the weekend.
Investigators said at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, a black Lincoln Navigator was travelling in the area of Garth Street and Twenty Road when a damaged white Mercedes abruptly blocked their path.
It’s alleged four suspects exited the Mercedes, assaulted the occupants of the Lincoln Navigator, forcefully removed them from the vehicle, and fled the scene in the SUV. The victims were injured during the incident, but police said none of them were seriously harmed.
Hamilton police said a 15-year-old boy was arrested in relation to this robbery.
He’s facing several charges, including five counts of robbery with a firearm, three counts of breaching probation and two counts of failing to comply with a youth sentence.
Police said further charges are anticipated. The 15-year-old was held on bail. He was not identified by means of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The stolen Lincoln Navigator was located abandoned shortly after the robbery. The white Mercedes left behind at the scene was reported stolen from the Hamilton area. A firearm was also discovered, police confirmed.
Three suspects remain wanted by investigators. A description was not provided.
