Toronto police are searching for the driver of a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run in the city’s northeast end.

Emergency responders were called to the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Pachino Boulevard, near York Mills Road, around 6:20 p.m. on Monday.

Police say a 63-year-old man was crossing Victoria Park from the east side to the west, when he was hit by an SUV travelling north on the roadway.

Officials initially said the driver remained on scene. However, in an update on Tuesday, police said the driver fled the scene.

On Wednesday, investigators issued another update saying they are looking for a gray or silver 2013-2018 Hyundai Sante-Fe Sport Model, and released a photo of the vehicle (pictured below).

Police tell 680 NewsRadio the vehicle has front-end damage and a broken headlight.
