Former Blue Rodeo keyboardist James Gray dead at 52

Former Blue Rodeo keyboardist James Gray has died. He was 52.

The announcement of Gray’s passing was posted on the Juno Award winning band’s website.

“We are greatly saddened by the loss of our brother, James Gray,” the band said in a statement. “He was in Blue Rodeo for 12 years during which time we made some of our most important music.”

Gray’s first album with Blue Rodeo was the multi-platinum Five Days in July which contained such hits as Hasn’t Hit Me Yet and Bad Timing.

Gray left Blue Rodeo in 2005.
