Car demolished after crashing into pole

A man is in hospital after he crashed his Audi into a pole in the east end early Saturday morning.
It happened at Gerrard Street East and Clonmore Drive, east of Victoria Park Avenue.
The driver, the only one in the car at the time, was conscious and breathing when he was taken to hospital. Police said he will survive.
Residents told CityNews they lost power as a result of the crash.
