Truck Rollover Forces Closures

A truck rollover at Highway 427 and Highway 7 has caused major traffic delays in the area. The rig, loaded with flammable paint, forced the closure of several routes in the area, including the northbound 427 at Finch Ave. and Highway 7 between the 427 and Highway 27. Also, ramps from Highway 407 to the northbound 427 had to be closed. Emergency crews were on the scene, and spent hours trying to clean up the mess. The only good news: experts were able to contain the spill before it reached a nearby water source.

Serious Accident

Fortunately there were only minor injuries after a serious collision Wednesday night between a car and a transport truck on the southbound Highway 400 at Sheppard Ave. Ontario Provincial Police officers believe the car spun out and was clipped by the tractor-trailer. Investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who witnessed the car lose control.
