July 22 – StreetBeat – Two Buses Collide On Highway 400

It happened near King Road around 12:30pm when one bus rear-ended another. There were about 100 passengers on each vehicle and luckily none of the injuries is life threatening.

“The first bus slowed down, but we never saw … any brake lights,” passenger Michael Deperry
said. “Then, the bus kept on going, our bus driver … tried to slam on his brakes, pumping his brakes, but it didn’t work.”

The buses were carrying people from the Long Lake First Nations east of Thunder Bay. They were on their way to Wasaga Beach from Wonderland when the accident happened.
