It can be hard enough convincing an insurance company that you were hurt in a fender bender, but imagine how hard it would be to convince your agent that you suffered physical harm from alien probes and experiments.
That’s where German lawyer Jens Lorek steps in. He’s hoping to boost his practice by taking on state compensation claims for people who say they were abducted by aliens.
“There’s quite obviously demand for legal advice here,” Jens Lorek said. “The trouble is, people are afraid of making fools of themselves in court.”
Groups that watch the skies report several alien assaults occur every year and Lorek, a lawyer based in Dresden who specializes in social and labour law, says because of that there are plenty of potential clients for him to represent.
He hasn’t won a compensation claim yet, but he’s hoping a German law that grants state compensation to kidnap victims will turn his luck around.
If he ever does win a case, you can be sure the amount will be out of this world.
