“Bride Wigs Out” Video Removed From YouTube

What happened to the most talked about video on the Internet?

The mini-movie, officially called “Bride Has Massive Hair Wig Out” but known by some as “Bridezilla”, made headlines across the world this week.

But it was suddenly pulled late Thursday night “by the user” according to the site YouTube.

The video, which was actually sponsored by a Canadian hair care company, featured a woman supposedly going berserk on the day of her wedding, hating her hair cut so much she began shearing off some of her locks just minutes before the ceremony.

The company involved, Sunsilk Canada, explains it was simply trying to provide a dramatization of the anxiety some brides go through before their weddings and never intended to fool anyone.

There had been widespread speculation around the world about the authenticity of the short presentation, which also included some strong language.

But whether they intended it or not, the firm certainly got its money’s worth. The video was the most watched over the last few days on YouTube, garnering more than 2.1 million page views and getting mentioned and shown on a variety of high profile U.S. talk shows.

The woman behind the scissors turns out to have been a 22-year-old Canadian actress named Jodi Behan, who put the mini-drama together with her producer, Ingrid Hass.

Neither one was prepared for the incredible reaction that followed, but the video did its thing and now that the secret’s out, you can no longer see it at the site that made it famous.

There’s no word on why it was pulled or whether there’s any intention of bringing it back.
