Raptors Hope Game Two Has Better Outcome

One marked characteristic the Toronto Raptors showed time and time again during the regular season was their ability to bounce back, be it from a tough loss, or a dismal quarter.

Where in years past they would crumble, the new Raptors learned to put the pieces back together and fight on.

That could explain why their Game 1 loss to the New Jersey Nets didn’t set off any panic buttons.

In fact, at practice Monday, the Raptors looked nothing like a team on the verge of their biggest game ever.   Going into Game 2 Tuesday, the purple dinos looked relaxed.

“We have to stay loose,” said Chris Bosh.   “That’s what the playoffs is about, having fun. I don’t think anybody got here just to be uptight and not have any fun. We’re just staying relaxed and we play well when we’re relaxed.”

The Nets took Game 1 of the series 96-91 Saturday in Toronto .

The Raptors looked nervous and sloppy.

But now that the jitters are gone, they’re ready to play ball.

“We don’t have any quitters,” said Anthony Parker.

“We have guys that come in and work hard every day, we don’t take nights off. Everybody individually has bought into the team concept and put the team first.”
