Multi-Vehicle Accident Slows Down Traffic On Hwy. 400

Was it the rain? Was it the road surfaces? Or was it simply driver error? Maybe it was a combination of all three, but it could be a while before officials know for sure exactly what caused a multi-vehicle pile-up on the 400 near Sheppard Ave. Tuesday afternoon.

It was near the dinner hour when a tractor trailer and several cars came together in the northbound part of the busy highway. Some lanes were closed during the rush but cars were slowly getting by as police and crews attempted to sort out the tangle.

It was messy, it was inconvenient, but fortunately it wasn’t as serious as it might have been. No one was  hurt in the mishap, except traffic. And that doesn’t need stitches or doctors – just a tow truck or two.

Drivers are advised to take it easy in these terrible conditions, as cars can slip, slide and hydroplane on the increasingly wet streets.
