Toronto’s air quality index is in the moderate range right now. A stagnant weather pattern and pollutants from the U.S. and Ontario have blanketed the city with bad air. Weather officials warn heavy outdoor exercise may cause eye irritation and breathing problems. Everyone is being asked to carpool or take public transit. The high pollution levels are expected to subside by Friday.
Smog Alert Called As Rise In Temperature Could Signal Start Of Scorching Summer
Meanwhile, as Toronto basks in summer-like heat the folks out in Calgary are shivering in winter-like weather.
