Kiefer Sutherland Arrested On DUI

24 star Kiefer Sutherland was arrested Tuesday on drunk driving charges after he failed a sobriety test.

Officers pulled him over in West Los Angeles at about 1am after they saw him make an illegal U-turn.

According to Officer Karen Smith, the 40-year-old was tested and apparently exceeded California’s legal blood alcohol limit of 0.08 per cent. He was subsequently arrested on the misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

He was released several hours later after posting $25,000 bail. Authorities said he was due in court October 16.

Sutherland won the best actor Emmy last year for his role in the hit series 24, set to return in January.
