Halloween may still be more than two weeks away, but the folks at Paramount Canada’s Wonderland were getting an early start on things when the Halloween Haunt opened up Friday night.
Billed as Canada’s largest Halloween event, the reactions of the first few to exit safely suggested it might also be one of the scariest.
Whether it’s creatures from beyond or just things that go bump in the night, the elaborate mountain of terror is sure to send a least a couple of shivers down the average thrill-seeker’s spine.
The Haunt features eight bone-chilling mazes and over 300 creatures lurking somewhere within them and you never know when one will come out of nowhere.
“We have quite a flow of applicants that come in and they go through a rigorous process,” said Canada’s Wonderland’s Dineen Beaven. “It’s hard to place them, but we make everything work.”
This marks the third year the Halloween Haunt has taken place and as usual, it doesn’t disappoint.
“It’s really fun, I like it a lot,” said one breathless survivor. “It’s really scary though.”
The Halloween Haunt is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until October 28th and on Halloween night. It runs from 7pm until midnight.
