Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt Responds To Body Jokes

Jennifer Love Hewitt responded this week to taunts about her body stemming from photos of her in a bikini recently posted on the Internet.
“I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized,” the 28-year-old actress wrote on her own website.
“To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.”
The pictures in question show Hewitt on a beach in Hawaii with her fiancé, Scottish actor Ross McCall. In one shot of her rear end there’s visible cellulite, which drew comments like the following from TMZ.com:
“We know what you ate this summer, Love – everything!”
Hewitt, who says she’s a size two, insists it’s not fat. “Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful,” she argued in her post.
The star of TV show Ghost Whisperer and horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer complained that she should be enjoying her new engagement, “instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles.”
“To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist,” she wrote, “put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.”
