Mischa Barton Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI

O.C. star Mischa Barton has been arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Police apparently saw the 21-year-old actress straddling two lanes on West Hollywood’s La Cienaga Blvd. and not signaling for a turn and stopped her at about 2:45am Thursday.
“During Ms. Barton’s detention, it was determined that she was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage,” a police statement said.
She was taken into custody for the investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a licence, and possession of marijuana, and spent seven hours in jail before being released on $10,000 bail. She’s due in court Feb. 28.
Barton’s character on The O.C., Marissa Cooper, died in a car crash after three years on the show. She recently filmed the thriller Walled In for six weeks in Regina, Sask.
Not long after Barton was arrested, actress Rebecca De Mornay was charged with misdemeanor drunk driving in L.A. relating to an arrest two months ago. The 48-year-old star of films including Risky Business and Lords of Dogtown was arrested in late October for a traffic violation.
She’s been charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal maximum of .08.
