Minimum Wage Set To Increase

Workers earning minimum wage have much to look forward to at the end of this month.
Ontario is raising the minimum wage from eight dollars to $8.75 on March 31st, which places the province with the highest minimum wage rate in Canada.
It’s the fifth increase since 2004, with the most recent in February of last year raising the minimum wage 55 cents from $7.45.
Major industries with minimum wage earners include accommodation, food, retail and the agriculture industries.
