Hit and runs occur with unfortunate regularity all across Toronto. It’s rare that one where no one was injured would even make it to the news.
But such is the price of fame, as Jonathan David Black, son of Conrad Black (pictured), is charged with allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.
Late Thursday night, Toronto Police allege that an Infiniti rear-ended a stopped car on King Street near University Avenue.
They also suspect that the Infiniti backed up, and then left the scene.
Officers from 52 Division were called to the scene, and police from 32 Division helped track down the missing car.
Black, 30, was charged Sunday. He faces charges including failure to stop, careless driving, driving while under suspension, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
He will appear in court on Monday, April 28.
