Mississauga Home Half-Gutted In Fire

A fire broke out in a Mississauga home early Saturday, where a family of four was lucky to get out alive.

It took 40 firefighters to contain the blaze that erupted around 9am near Mavis and Derry Road.

The flames spread quickly, according to witnesses and stubborn spot fires kept crews at the scene busy.

There’s no word on a damage total and the Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
