A man has died in a fiery crash outside London, Ontario.
He was driving a dump truck carrying Toronto’s trash at the time of the collision. Police allege a traffic slowdown caught the driver off guard, and he slammed into the back of another truck on the 401.
The impact caused a fire that spread through both vehicles. The second driver made it out with minor injuries, but the first man wasn’t so lucky.
His vehicle was engulfed in flames so devastating, crews had to repave the road before it could be opened to traffic.
Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley said that accidents like these are yet another reason to avoid shipping garbage long distances.
