Durham Cops Probe ‘Targeted’ Shooting Of 4 Men

Police in Durham Region want to know who shot four people over the weekend – and why. They’re convinced the dangerous discharge was anything but random.

It happened around 12:45am Saturday when police were called to a house party on Harkins Drive in the Rossland and Church area of Ajax. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots outside the home and when cops arrived they found disturbing evidence that the neighbours weren’t imagining things – four men had been hit by bullets.

The good news is that none of them were seriously injured and all were able to make it to hospital on their own for treatment.

A large group of people were seen outside the home where the shots were thought to have originated shortly before the sounds ricocheted into the night.

Cops found evidence of the shooting but haven’t made any arrests. They’re positive whatever happened wasn’t random and that the victims were deliberately targeted.

They’ve talked to some of the people who were there but have made only limited progress. If you know who pulled the trigger no less than four times, call (905) 579-1520 ext. 2565 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
