GTA Man Dies In Caledon Plane Crash

A missing pilot prompted a search that came to a tragic conclusion near Caledon Saturday night.

An Ultralight aircraft took off from Tottenham, but it never returned.

Police searched the area and found wreckage along the Caledon-King Town around eight o’clock. Transport Canada has been called in to conduct an investigation into the crash.

The pilot has since been identified as 54-year-old John Townsend of King City.
