Britney’s Back With Circus

It’s Britney, b***h.
The woman who famously introduced herself to an adoring public in a school girl skirt and pigtails returned to the stage in a decidedly different get-up.
Britney Spears went from the student to the (ring)master Tuesday night in New Orleans as she kicked off her first tour in five years.
The Circus Starring: Britney Spears began when the the pop star, decked out in a lion-tamer’s outfit complete with whip and a red coat with tails, descended to the stage clinging to a hoop that was lowered from the ceiling.
The crowd, predictably, went wild – but don’t call it a comeback, because Britney was never gone.
We just got a glimpse of a very different version of the once-cosseted teen who sold 85 million records worldwide by the time she was 27.
Near-daily images of Britney’s troubled life appeared in tabloids and online: Two marriages, one annulment, one divorce, two children in the custody of their father, one spectacular haircut, a brief stay in a treatment centre, her younger sister’s pregnancy and a life so out of control her father was put in charge of the grown adult’s personal and professional affairs.
But all was forgotten as the star tore through songs from her six albums. Britney began with her latest offering, ‘Circus,’ where she proclaims “I’m like a ringleader, I call the shots.”
And for the next two hours, she did, ripping through hit single after hit single.
Including, of course, ‘Baby One More Time’, as Britney has proven she can do over and over again.
