Two Youths Arrested After Robberies In Trinity-Bellwoods

Police have arrested two youths following a rash of robberies in the area of a west-end park.

Around 9pm Monday, police were called to the Trinity-Bellwoods neighbourhood just west of Queen and Bathurst after several people reported being robbed by two disguised males with a weapon.

Officers tracked down the suspects and retrieved several pieces of stolen property.

A 16-year-old has been charged with several counts of robbery, disguise with intent and weapons offences. Another boy, 15, has been charged with robbery and disguise with intent.

Both appeared in court on Tuesday. They can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to call 416-808-1400, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477), to remain anonymous.
