Two Charged With Arson In Rexdale Fire

The first day of the New Year began with a blaze at the Red Rock Restaurant.
On Jan. 1, 2009, emergency crews were called to the sports bar at 103 Rexdale Blvd for reports of a fire.
Fire fighters and police officers battled the flames that began after an explosion in the kitchen.
Two months later, two men have been charged with arson.
Salahuddin Alakozai, 29, of Toronto, and Aziel Aliyar, 35, of Toronto were each charged with:
- Arson
- Counseling to Commit Indictable Offence.
They will appear in court Friday.
