Peel Police Homicide detectives were very busy over the past 24 hours.
They made three arrests on Thursday in connection with a murder at a Mississauga bar.
And on Friday, they captured a fourth suspect.
Jermaine Marlon Scott had tried to escape a brawl inside the Fox and Fiddle at 3055 Dundas St. W., near Winston Churchill Blvd. around 2:30am March 15th, but was chased down and stabbed outside.
Officers say the 29-year-old was able to flag down a cab as he fled the pub. The taxi driver called 911 and an ambulance took the man to hospital. He was later transferred to a Toronto trauma centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
On Thursday, homicide investigators arrested Reno Woods, 23, of Hamilton, Lani Valdes Harris, 21, of Woodbridge, and Jerome Marshall, 23, of Hamilton. They appeared in court Friday morning charged with second degree murder.
Around the same time, cops were back in action, collaring 21-year-old James Woods of Hamilton. He’s facing the same charges as the other suspects. His first appearance before a judge will come on Saturday.
Cops believe they now have all the people they allege to have been involved in this fatal fight. While they don’t anticipate any more arrests, they know there were a lot of people who saw what happened. And they need to talk to those witnesses.
