Crowds Turn Out For Pride 2009

It’s one of the biggest parties in Toronto.

The Pride Parade got going on Sunday afternoon, capping off a week of festivities that brought locals and tourists, gays and straights out to celebrate the city’s diversity.

Since the rainbow flag was unfurled at 519 Church Street on Monday (a strike by civic workers prevented the ceremony from taking place at City Hall), nearly every portion of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, queer and two-spirited movement had their moment in the sun.
