Charges Dropped Against Suspect In Annex Shooting

After speaking to one of the suspects wanted in the murder of 23-year-old Sebastian Herrera, they have dropped the charges against him.

On Wednesday evening, Jeffrey Larsen turned himself into police on charges of first degree murder and attempted murder.

After a brief interview and further investigation, detectives let the 28-year-old man go.

They are still looking for Marvin Jarrett, 22, of no fixed address. He is described as black, 6’2″, 180 lbs., with black hair in cornrows.

Herrera was gunned down on Saturday July 25th in an alleyway near Bloor West and Major Street.

A man approached him and stole his crucifix chain before firing a single shot at the innocent victim.  He died not long after.

The gunman, and a driver, both allegedly fled the scene in a stolen 2001 Toyota Corolla.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
