We’re not even a month into fall and already, snow has been spotted in Ontario.
Flakes fell north of Peterborough on Tuesday, making for a messy commute after a long weekend.
While it wasn’t enough to stick around for long, the roads were slick and slippery from Burleigh Falls to Bancroft and from Haliburton to Barry’s Bay.
While it slowed them down, drivers know how to cope: as of 7am, no collisions had been reported to police.
There’s no snow in the forecast for the GTA, but that doesn’t mean we’ve escaped unscathed. Toronto is under a frost warning for Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, it won’t be long before the white stuff disappears up north. Environment Canada calls for mixed precipitation in the morning and then showers for the rest of the day.
If all this snow seems early, you’re right: winter won’t begin until December 21.
