Markham Takes Metro Bowl Title Behind QB Pritty

The Metro Bowl unfolded on the turf at Rogers Centre Wednesday night with the Birchmount Park Panthers squaring off against the Markham Marauders for GTA pigskin supremacy.

Behind highly-touted quarterback Tyler Pritty, a transfer who won the last two Metro Bowls under centre for St. Mike’s, Markham scored early and using their stingy defence, kept Birchmount off the board for the whole contest.

An Andrew Bailey TD in the fourth sealed things at 19-0 as Markham claimed the 2009 Metro Bowl.
